Warranty
90 days. Unlimited kilometres.
Every mechanical part we sell is quality checked, tested and cleaned before it leaves the yard, and it’s covered for 90 days from the date of purchase with no kilometre limit — unless your invoice says otherwise. The plain-English version is below; the full terms are underneath it.

The bits people actually ask about.
Warranty & returns
What warranty comes with a recycled part?
All mechanical parts carry a 90-day warranty from the date of purchase, with unlimited kilometres, unless the invoice says otherwise. Truck and performance parts carry 30 days. Electrical components carry 30 days and are replacement only — no refunds on electrical. Extended warranty is available; ask at the counter. Warranties cover the part only, not labour, towing, downtime or loss of income.
How do I keep my engine or gearbox warranty valid?
Before you fit it: flush the radiator and cooling system, and renew all belts, hoses, the radiator cap, spark plugs, oil and the oil filter. On a diesel, have the injectors and injector pump serviced and replace the fuel filter. Warranty is void if failure was caused by incorrect or missing oil or fuel, overheating or a missing heat tab, poor maintenance, unauthorised repairs or dismantling, incorrect installation, or accident damage, overloading and misuse. If you see any early sign of a malfunction, stop the vehicle straight away and ring us — running it on can cause further damage and void the warranty.
Can I return a part?
Yes, within 7 days, and only if it comes back in the same condition it was sold in. No returns on cut sections, no returns on special buy-ins, and please do not dismantle the part. Panels and interior parts are sold as inspected — if we supplied the wrong model, you get a full refund. Getting the make, model and body type right is the customer's call, so tell us as much as you can when you order.
Delivery & freight
Do you deliver?
Yes. Melbourne metro delivery is free to mechanical workshops, panel shops and repairers — our own drivers run that route. Everywhere else in Australia goes by courier; we have long-standing relationships with carriers, so parts move quickly. Interstate and international freight can be arranged on your behalf. Goods are the customer's responsibility once they leave our premises or our driver's hands.
Warranty, terms and conditions
EKW Group members are referred to below as “the company”. The company warrants customer satisfaction for a period of 90 days from date of purchase on all mechanical parts sold.
1. Unlimited kilometres
Unless otherwise stated on the front of the invoice. Note: truck and performance parts come with a 30 day warranty unless stated otherwise on the invoice.
2. Parts only
All warranties are parts only. In the event of a claim the company will not be held responsible for consequential loss or damage, labour, towing, loss of income or down time due to failure of any part sold.
3. Electrical components
All electrical components come with a 30 day warranty unless stated otherwise. All electrical items will only be replaced — no refunds are given on electrical parts.
4. Engines, gearboxes and differentials
Warranty will be void and no claim recognised where failure has occurred due to or been caused by:
- Incorrect or lack of oil, lubricants or fuel.
- Overheating, or a missing heat tab.
- Failure to carry out proper maintenance.
- Unauthorised repairs, alterations or dismantling.
- Improper installation or application.
- Accident damage, overloading or misuse.
Please note: in the event of any early sign of malfunction it is the customer’s responsibility to immediately cease operation and report the problem to the company. Failure to comply may result in further and serious consequential damage, and void any warranty entitlement.
5. Engines are sold as long bare
Any accessories supplied with the unit are for your convenience only. If fitted they are not covered by the warranty and may not fit your model — we recommend you use your existing accessories.
6. Declined claims
In the event of a claim being declined, the company reserves the right to recover any costs involved in dismantling, inspecting, repairs, out-of-pocket expenses and freight charges.
7. Disputes
In the event of any dispute a mutual third party may be obtained to adjudicate the claim.
8. Representations
The company will not be held responsible for any verbal or implied representation.
9. Claims
All claims must be accompanied by the official receipt or invoice.
10. Returns
Parts will only be accepted back if they are in the same condition as sold.
- No returns after 7 days.
- No returns on cut sections.
- Any special buy-ins will not be accepted for credit.
- Do not dismantle any parts.
11. Freight
The company runs a delivery and pick-up service in the Melbourne and metropolitan area, subject to loading and unloading facilities. Interstate and international freight can be arranged on behalf of the customer. Goods are deemed to have left our possession, and the customer deemed to have taken possession, after the goods either leave our premises or leave our delivery driver’s possession.
Any goods in transit to the customer are the customer’s responsibility, including freight costs and insurance. Returns will only be accepted if returned to our premises freight pre-paid, unless arrangements are made with the company, who will direct you to which carrier and mode of transport should be used.
Where it is reasonable to send urgently required goods by a costly overnight fast freight company, it is uneconomical to return a trade-in or faulty component by that same costly service. We suggest returning such goods by a less costly general carrier or rail freight.
12. Panels and interior parts
These are sold as inspected, and will only be accepted back if the incorrect model has been supplied — in which case a full money back refund is given. It is up to the customer to ascertain the correct make, model and body type required, and the company cannot be held responsible if incorrect information is given. Panels and interior parts will only be accepted back in the same condition as sold.
Protecting your warranty
To avoid your warranty becoming void we suggest the following:
- Radiator and cooling system to be flushed.
- Renew all belts, hoses, radiator cap, spark plugs, oil and oil filter.
- Diesel — injectors and injector pump to be serviced, and fuel filter to be replaced.
Note: this warranty is given to you notwithstanding any rights you may have under Commonwealth and State law.
